چکیده

Background Ebstein anomaly is a kind of congenital defect of tricuspid valve mainly affecting the right ventricle, recent evidence have suggested the LV geometry remodeling in patient with Ebstein anomaly due to potential RV-LV coupling. The aim of this study-we investigated the interaction between abnormal right ventricle and left ventricle and whether myocardial fibrosis is the basis of abnormal left ventricle remodeling in ebstein abnomaly by using T1 mapping technique of cardiac magnetic resonance.

Association Between Diffuse Myocardial Fibrosis by Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Contrast-Enhanced T1 Mapping and Subclinical Myocardial Dysfunction in Diabetic Patients A Pilot Study

Background—Diabetic patients have increased interstitial myocardial fibrosis on histological examination. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) T1 mapping is a previously validated imaging technique that can quantify the burden of global and regional interstitial fibrosis. However, the association between MRI T1 mapping and subtle left ventricular (LV) dysfunction in diabetic patients is unknown. Me...

Native T1 mapping identifies subclinical left ventricular myocardial t1 abnormality in patients with atrial fibrillation referred for pulmonary vein isolation

Background Native T1 mapping has emerged as a noninvasive magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) method to assess the diffuse myocardial fibrosis without an exogenous contrast agents. To date, no data are available regarding native left ventricular (LV) T1 relaxation time in AF patients referred for pulmonary vein isolation (PVI). The purpose of this study was to compare native myocardial T1 value be...

Comparison of Two Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping Measurement Methods Used For Anatomical Localization of the Iron-Incorporated Deep Brain Nuclei

Introduction Quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) is a new contrast mechanism in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The images produced by the QSM enable researchers and clinicians to easily localize specific structures of the brain, such as deep brain nuclei. These nuclei are targets in many clinical applications and therefore their easy localization is a must. In this study, we aimed to i...

Magnetic resonance imaging in the management of resistant focal epilepsy: pathological case report and experience of 12 cases.

Clinical improvement in epilepsy following temporal lobectomy is more often obtained when an abnormality is found on subsequent histological examination. Pre-operative MRI demonstrated an abnormal signal in the temporal lobe of a patient with pathologically proven mesial temporal sclerosis with microvascular anomaly. MRI may therefore be helpful in the selection of patients for temporal lobecto...
